MV-9 Cost effective conventional ground referenced general purpose unit. Provides over 120watts of cutting power for demanding procedures even on large patients.
Not recommended for use with avians, exotics, or patients under 2.5kg.

As a general purpose electro-cautery unit, the MV-9 addresses the major requirements in general veterinary practice :
neutering
de-clawing
de-barking
tail-docking
ear cropping
epilation
general open surgery
Eyelid surgery
gingivoplasty
MV-9 is almost indispensable for emergency trauma treatment due to its haemostatic capabilities. Built in fulguration function for dermal lesion treatment and addressing metastatic remnants in tumor excision beds. Low crest factor CUT function allows initial incision for major surgery without unnecessary healing delay or pronounced scarring.

Conventional ground referenced technology carries some inherent constraints : not recommended for use with bipolar accessories or in conjunction with physio-monitors. However, MACAN offers an optional at extra cost Bipolar Adaptor for use with the MV-9 unit to provide the RF isolation necessary to overcome these limitations.

This adaptor provides for safe bipolar use with MV-9 units while retaining the normal monopolar function. The adaptor also allows for isolated monopolar use and for "two-point" use.

Bipolar cable and choice of forceps sold separately.

NOTE : the "Flexi-plate" dispersive pad is highly recommended for isolated output application with the adaptor.

NOTE ! For older existing MV-9 units having a "SPARK" position on the selector switch please contact the factory about upgrading the unit before using the Bipolar Adaptor with it !
